Our small rustic island getaway is only accessible by boat. We run our own transfer service capable of picking you up directly from the departure exit gates at the airport to to our private speedboats. Our crew will then bring you directly to our small pier in front of the resort. International guests can most easily get to the resort by flying into Phuket International Airport, but also provide pick-ups from any hotel in Phuket, mainland Krabi, Krabi International Airport, hotel in Khao Lak.
SOME CONSIDERATIONS
In the interest of the safety for our guests and staff, boat trips will not operate at night. The operating hours for our speedboat transfers are from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Due to these restrictions, our pick-ups by limousine and minibus from the Airport/Hotel operate between 6:00am and 4:00pm. Please note: if your flight arrival time is after 4:00pm, we suggest you book accommodation in Phuket or Krabi. We can pick you up directly from the hotel/resort you stayed at the following day.
*immigrations and baggage collection may take 1 hour at the international airports.
Weather also plays a large factor in the safety of the speedboat operation. The final decision to run the transfer is with our responsible captains in charge. It is rare that bad weather sets in for long periods of time. In the event that poor weather prevents the transfer to the resort, TreeHouse Villas can help arrange accommodation with hotels of similar standards in Phuket/Krabi.
TreeHouse Villas will not operate its boats if there is the slightest safety concern or in case of strong winds or uncertain sea conditions. TreeHouse Villas can arrange for accommodation with a hotel of similar standards in Phuket/Krabi if transfer cancellation occurs.

Considerations and Cancellations
Guests arriving after 16:00 will need to find overnight accommodation in Phuket or Krabi and transfer to the resort the following day. We are not able to offer night transfers due to safety reasons.
We reserve the right to charge the transfer fee in full in case of no-shows or late cancellations.
Arrival by your Own Transportation
The access road leading to the resort through the National Park is a natural dirt road and not well maintained.
We do not recommend that you use your own car or even motorcycle and suggest our boat service for a more comfortable arrival experience.
If you do arrive by the public boat, then you may take a taxi from Manoh pier on Koh Yao Noi (cost around Baht 900 per car per way).
Please remember that the road condition is not very good as mentioned above!
Our resort does not provide local transportation services on the island as we wish to support the local taxi operators and community.

About Koh Yao
Accessible only by boat, the small rustic island getaway of Koh Yao Noi, the “Little Long Island”, is located roughly an hour boat ride away from the popular tourist destinations of Phuket and Krabi. The smaller of the two Koh Yao islands, this ideally retreat is one of the last remain local islands in the region to remain largely unspoiled by mass tourism. The very small community primarily focused on its agriculture and fishing industry, is easy going and welcoming. A nostalgic feeling of what made Phuket so appealing 30 years ago can be experience here. With a large portion of the island dedicated to national parkland, Koh Yao Noi is a perfect retreat for those looking to escape the crowds of Phuket and Krabi.
TreeHouse Villas is located in the remote northern tip of the island. A small winding road through the national parkland connects the resort to the more populated area centre and southern areas of the island, but the easiest method for reaching the resort is by boat. The resort does offer transfers to and from Phuket and Krabi or for the more travel savvy and adventurous, guests can organize their own transportation to the resort through a series of taxis and ferries. In an effort to keep economic benefits localized the resort does not organize pick-ups from the Koh Yao Noi’s local ferry terminal and would recommend using one of the 4×4 SUV taxis found close by to bring you that last step to the resort.
